Who is responsible

Kensington Pro League (KPL), a community football league operating in Kensington, Johannesburg, South Africa, is the responsible party for the content and operation of this website. The site developer acts as a technical service provider and does not independently use visitor information for marketing.

Privacy questions can be sent by direct message to KPL on Instagram (@_kpl26) ↗. A dedicated privacy email and full physical service address have not yet been supplied; KPL should publish them here when available.

Information processed

This website has no KPL user accounts, contact forms, newsletter, checkout, payment collection or advertising tracker. Its Fans’ Choice fields let you prepare sporting choices in your browser, then transfer them to the official Google Form. Those choices are not sent to the KPL website server.

Like most hosted websites, infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical request information to deliver and protect the site. This may include IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser or device information, requested page, date and time, and security or diagnostic events.

Fans’ Choice ballot

The official Fans’ Choice ballot is hosted on Google Forms. The KPL page shows the shared deadline and offers six styled cards to prepare and review your choices. These choices remain only in the page’s memory until you choose to continue to Google. Refreshing or clearing these cards discards the unsent local choices, not a ballot already submitted to Google. KPL does not save the local choices in cookies or browser storage.

“Continue to Google to submit” opens the same official form with your answers filled in. The transfer URL contains the sporting choices, including any reasons or public clip link you supplied; Google receives those answers when you open it, even before final submission. The URL may remain in browser history, so do not share it or enter private information. KPL’s website server does not receive these choices. The form is not embedded. Reviewing here or opening Google is not a saved vote: you must check Google’s sections and press its final Submit button. Google may offer an existing draft under its own policies.

The form uses Google account sign-in to limit one submission per account. Google handles that sign-in under its own policies. The ballot owner and authorised league organisers will use player names, club selections, optional shirt numbers, optional sporting reasons and submission times to count choices and reconcile player identities. Goal of the Season also asks for the opposing club, a description of the specific goal and an optional public clip link so organisers can identify the strike. This website does not fetch or embed clips. The setup does not request voter email addresses, phone numbers or home addresses. Do not include private or sensitive information, private video links or login details.

Purpose and lawful basis

Technical data is used only to deliver pages, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose faults and keep the service reliable. Processing is limited to what is reasonably necessary for KPL’s legitimate interest in operating a safe public information website and to meet legal obligations where applicable.

Service providers and transfers

The site is hosted by Vercel. Hosting and network providers may process request data on infrastructure outside South Africa. KPL should ensure that any cross-border processing is subject to appropriate safeguards as required by the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Links to Sofascore and Instagram take you to independent services with their own privacy practices. This site does not embed those services or receive the information you submit to them.

Retention and security

KPL does not create a visitor database. Infrastructure logs are retained according to operational, security and legal needs and the hosting provider’s configured retention periods. Reasonable technical measures are used, including encrypted HTTPS delivery and restrictive browser security headers, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Your rights

Subject to POPIA, you may ask whether KPL holds personal information about you, request access or correction, object to certain processing, or request deletion where retention is not legally required. Contact KPL through the channel above and describe your request clearly.

Children and player information

The website publishes league-supplied names, club affiliations, results and scoring records for sporting and public-interest reporting. KPL must obtain any permissions required before publishing personal information or identifiable images of children. Please contact KPL promptly if content concerning you or a child requires review.
